Insights shows how your organisation is really working: how the structure is changing, how much work is moving, and how people are communicating. You see each number today, how it has changed over the period you pick, and a chart of its trend. It is an app, so it appears once it is turned on for your workspace.

Open Insights
Open the menu on your workspace, a circle or a role and choose Insights.
Insights is split into three tabs. Which metrics you see depends on the apps your workspace uses.
Structure
How your roles, circles and governance are set up and how actively they change.
Roles and circles: users, users assigned to a role, number of roles and circles, and role awareness (the share of open work that sits in a role).
Governance: governance participation, governance meetings and their agenda items, open, new and completed governance proposals, and governance contributing users.
Work
What is being done, by how many people, and how much of it gets finished.
Projects, todos and feedback: work participation, close rate, open, new and completed projects and todos, work outside of a role, users with open projects, and feedback given and received.
Meetings: circle meetings, agenda items, meeting output, contributing users and circle meeting participation.
Activity: monthly active users, active users, activities, and changes made through the API, bots and MCP.
Communicate
How much people talk to each other in Nestr, and how many take part.
Posts and replies: posts, replies, commenting users and post participation.
Filters and tools
These controls sit at the top of Insights and apply to everything on the page.
Date range: choose 7 days, 30 days, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year or a custom range. Use the arrows to step back to an earlier period and forward again.
User: look at all users, or at your own numbers.
Heatmap: colour the circles on the map. Compare circles shows how they relate to each other, Show change shows how each one moved over the period, and Off leaves the map as it is.
Subcircles: include or exclude the circles inside the one you are looking at.
Trend chart: click a metric to open its chart for the selected period. The heatmap then shows that same metric.

What you can learn from it
Is work getting finished? Open projects rising while close rate falls usually means more is starting than finishing.
Where does a team need support? Show change makes it easy to spot the circle that moved furthest in the last month.
Is work anchored in roles? Low role awareness, or a lot of work outside of a role, can point to accountabilities that are missing or unclear.
Is governance alive? Few proposals and low governance participation can mean roles are drifting away from the real work.
Are people taking part? Work, meeting and post participation show whether a few people carry the load or everyone contributes.
Colours on the numbers and the heatmap show whether a change is good or bad for that metric. More open projects shows in red, and a higher close rate in green.
Plans: workspace, circle and personal insights
Workspace insights are available on every plan that includes Insights. The Pro plan adds circle insights, so you can open Insights on an individual circle and compare circles below the top level, and personal insights, so you can filter on your own numbers.
Without Pro, the Insights page offers the upgrade, or lets you ask an admin for access.
