Strategy Meetings

Categories:

Strategy meetings in Holacracy are sessions where a circle defines simple rules-of-thumb that guide day-to-day prioritisation. A strategy is not a detailed plan. It is a short heuristic, like "favour depth over breadth" or "prioritise retention over acquisition," that helps role-holders make faster decisions.

Good strategies reduce the need for constant coordination. When everyone in a circle shares the same prioritisation heuristic, they can act independently and still pull in the same direction. Bad or missing strategies force people to escalate decisions that should be routine.

Nestr lets circles define and publish their strategies so every member, including AI agents, can reference them. Strategies sit alongside roles, policies, and projects in the circle view. Governance meetings provide the venue to propose and update strategies as conditions change.
